མཁའ་འགྲོ་རིགས་ལྔ་།

༄༅།། མཁའ་འགྲོ་རིགས་ལྔ་།

Dance of མཁའ་འགྲོ་རིགས་རིགས་ལྔ་, or sky-going female deities, plays a major role in the visionary experience of tantric practitioners.

མཁའ་འགྲོ་རིགས་རིགས་ལྔ་ are the bearers of wisdom, whose songs inspire deep insight. During the time of the 13th Dalai Lama, a great teacher named Tabu Rinpoche was frequently visited by dakinis, whose voices and movements were so beautiful that he later taught their chanting songs and dances to the monks of Namgyal Monastery.

In India, Namgyal monks perform this dance occasionally during the Long Life prayer ceremony of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
